About this event
Get CREATIVE with your dreams and plans. It's time to do things differently! This six-day TEACH2GO TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) Certification Course hosted by UPCI Global Missions provides you with tools and opportunities to live out your dreams. Learn from experienced certified instructors, develop connections with fellow students, and prepare to open doors in your community and around the globe! There are two course lengths: 60 hours (in-class component) or 100 hours (60 hours in-class component + 40 hours online self-directed study).

- Carrie Painter, MA in Education-Gifted Education, Lyndenwood University
- Jen Yoder, MA (TBA)
- Jacob Carpenter, BA in Linguistics and TESL,
- Angi Clarke, Former TEFL/TESL teacher in China, Deputy Director of English Education at Golden Apple.
This 2021 training is hosted by Global Missions and as such maintains the Apostolic Oneness values and the significance of faith-based training in a TESOL environment.
FAQs
What are my lodging options near the event?
There are many hotels in the area. For the purposes of cutting costs, you could share rooms with fellow participants. The Holiday Inn Express & Suites St. Louis West-O'Fallon is the closest hotel to the training location, and they have a small section of rooms blocked off with a Global Missions rate if you ask. If needed, you may contact sdearmon@upci.org for room sharing information.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
No.
What about lunches?
We will be working through lunch each day so we can more easily get in our 10/day schedule. Therefore, lunch is an add-on option you can find in the registration process at $6/meal. Otherwise, you will be responsible for your own meals. Keep in mind if you are staying at a hotel, it might offer free breakfast.
Lunch options may include: Cane's, Subway, Max's Specialty Pizza, Chik-Fil-A, Arby's, Popeye's, and Bandana's BBQ. *Menu items/choices subject to change.
*You may purchase your meals at a later time by clicking the Register button and choosing the lunch option.
Will there be transport from the airport?
No. You will have to find a way from the airport to your hotel and the training location.
What do I need to bring?
We suggest you bring a laptop or tablet if possible, but it's not required. We will provide you with a notebook and a small packet of helpful materials.

What's the refund policy?
You may receive a full refund up until 7 days before the event. If you request a refund in the 7 days prior to the event, you will be issued a 50% refund.
